Apple Watch Prime Day Deals: What to Expect October 2026

Apple Watch deals were the strangest part of every Prime Day. Apple itself almost never discounts, so Amazon’s October sale — Prime Big Deal Days, October 6–7, 2026 — was one of the few windows each year when prices actually moved. The early deals went live ahead of the event, starting at $199. The sale has now ended — prices below are the deal prices we tracked during the event.

The lineup was the strongest it’s been: the brand-new Series 12 and Ultra 4 had just launched, the SE 3 was the best budget Apple Watch ever made, and last year’s models were getting clearance pricing. Here’s what was live during the sale, what happened when it officially started, and — the part most deal pages skip — what was actually worth waiting for.

For the full sale picture beyond watches, see our Prime Day deals hub, which tracked the sale through October 7.

Apple Watch SE 3 on sale for $199 in early October Prime Day deal

Live now: Apple Watch SE 3 (40mm) — $199 $249

The $199 SE 3 is the deal of the Apple Watch lineup, full stop. Fifty dollars off Apple’s cheapest current watch, and unlike the token $10 cuts on the flagships, this one actually changes the math. At $199 it’s competing with Fitbit and budget Garmins while offering the full Apple Watch experience: notifications, fitness tracking, Apple Pay, crash detection, and watchOS updates for years.

The 44mm version is $229 (also $50 off) if you want the bigger screen. Both are GPS models — cellular costs more and, honestly, most people don’t need it. Our SE 3 review called it the affordable way into the Apple Watch, and at $199 that case gets even stronger.

Live now: Apple Watch Series 12 — from $389 $399

The Series 12 GPS (42mm) is down to $389 — a modest $10 off, which is about what you’d expect this early. The cellular models are $489.99 (42mm) and $539.99 (46mm), also $10 off. These aren’t exciting discounts yet, but they’re notable for one reason: the Series 12 just launched. Apple hardware this new rarely gets cut at all.

Should you buy now or wait? If you want the Series 12 specifically, waiting until October 6 is the smart play — Prime events have pushed new Apple Watches to $20–$30 off in the past, and there’s little downside to 48 hours of patience. Our Series 12 review found it the right pick for most iPhone users, thanks to the new health sensing system and 24-hour battery rating.

Live now: Apple Watch Ultra 4 — $779.99 $799.99 ($20 off)

The Ultra 4 is brand new — 50-hour battery, satellite connectivity, precision dual-frequency GPS — and it’s already $20 off. That’s not a big cut, but Ultras almost never discount in their first month. If you’re the target buyer (endurance athlete, diver, backcountry hiker), $20 is $20.

But here’s the more interesting play: the Ultra 3 at $699.97 — $200 off in a blowout clearance. The Ultra 3 is last year’s model, but the differences are incremental: you still get the huge battery, the rugged titanium case, and the bright display. For most adventurers, $100 less than the Ultra 4’s sale price for 95% of the watch is the better deal. We broke down who actually needs the Ultra’s 50 hours — spoiler: fewer people than think they do.

Clearance watch: Apple Watch Series 11 — $350

The discontinued Series 11 is floating around $350 at various retailers — a decent chunk under its old $399 price. Is it worth it over the SE 3 at $199? Only if you specifically want the always-on display, blood oxygen sensing, and ECG — features the SE 3 skips. For most buyers the SE 3 at $199 is the better value; the Series 11 makes sense only if you find it under $330 and want the premium health sensors.

Our Series 11 vs SE 3 comparison walks through the exact tradeoffs if you’re torn between them.

What to expect October 6–7

Based on how Apple pricing has behaved in past Prime events, here’s my honest forecast:

  • SE 3: $199 is already the lowest 2026 price. It could touch $189 during the main event, but I wouldn’t bet on much more — and it could sell out at $199. If you want one, buying now is defensible.
  • Series 12: Expect $20–$30 off GPS models during the 48-hour window. The current $10 cut is a placeholder.
  • Ultra 4: Don’t expect more than $20–$30 off. Apple guards Ultra pricing tightly.
  • Ultra 3: The $699.97 blowout could go lower as retailers clear stock — this is the “check back Tuesday morning” deal.
  • Bands and chargers: The sleeper category. Third-party bands and chargers often hit 30–50% off, and they’re the cheapest way to make an old watch feel new.

Which Apple Watch should you actually buy?

Cut through the model soup: buy the SE 3 at $199 if you want the Apple Watch experience for the least money — it’s the best value in the lineup right now. Buy the Series 12 if you want the latest health sensors and the brightest display, and wait until October 6 for the deeper cut. Buy the Ultra 3 at $699.97 if you need the battery and ruggedness but not the very latest. Skip the Ultra 4 unless you genuinely need satellite connectivity or you’re upgrading from an Ultra 1.

On Android? The Pixel Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 8 are both excellent, and our head-to-head will help you pick. They’ll get their own Prime Day cuts too.

Bottom line

The $199 Apple Watch SE 3 is the deal to buy right now — it’s $50 off, it’s the lowest 2026 price, and it could sell out before October 6. Everything else in the Apple Watch lineup can wait the 48 hours for the main event.

Apple Watch Prime Day FAQ

Do Apple Watches go on sale for Prime Day?

Yes — Amazon’s October Prime Day is one of the few reliable windows for Apple Watch discounts. Expect $50 off the SE 3, $10–$30 off the Series 12, and clearance pricing on last year’s models. Apple’s own store won’t match these prices.

Is the $199 Apple Watch SE 3 a good deal?

Yes. It’s $50 off the $249 list price and matches the lowest 2026 price we’ve seen. The SE 3 delivers the core Apple Watch experience — notifications, fitness, Apple Pay, safety features — without the premium health sensors. At $199 it’s the best value Apple Watch you can buy.

Should I buy now or wait until October 6?

For the SE 3 at $199 and the Ultra 3 at $699.97, buying now is fine — both are at or near their lows and could sell out. For the Series 12 and Ultra 4, wait the 48 hours; deeper cuts almost always land during the main event.

Do I need Prime for Apple Watch deals?

Most of the headline Apple Watch discounts are Prime-exclusive. A free Prime trial unlocks them.
